Sunday Shoutin'

2009 is going to be a sick-diculous year for me. In order to mentally, spiritually and physically prepare I will need an hours long sweat session at Body&Soul.

Work it out!

At This Moment

Right now my life feels like Vicky and Ralph's boutique in Milan. Everything seems upside down...It is scary and intoxicating at the same time.

Perpetual Lesson

One of the big lessons in my life is learning the necessity of Patience. I did not grow up in the internet age, I legitimately remember a time when things, people, information moved at a drastically slower pace.

However, as an adult I am plagued by impatience. I yearn for the world to move as fast as the ideas that spin in my head. When this does not happen I get frustrated. Part of what I am going through right now is the need to slow down and reperspectivize.

I need to learn how to pace myself so that I am in sync with, for lack of a better term, the rhythm of life...

The Results Of Pressure

It is human nature to avoid stress. Who wants to endure it needlessly? Yet if one reflects on their life they may see that those stress-inducing experiences produce, for lack of a better term, growth.

In an attempt to put a positive spin on the scars (physical, psychological or spiritual) that painful situations can manifest, I am now going to use the quote below to re-perspectivize my view. The quote is from the Orson Welles character Harry Lime in the film noir classic "The Third Man"

In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

Lift Off

The new theme for my life is DISCOVERY. All attention is going to be focussed on exploring the new, the unexperienced, the seemingly impossible.

Aquarians like myself are used to this side of human experience, but I desire to take it to unheard of levels in my mentality, my physicality and my spirituality.

Pain Of The Real World

After having an amazing four day break from work, I have to face the reality of returning tomorrow.

There is nothing really tragic on my plate that is causing my discomfort, just the idea of going from a blissful idyllic environment to work. Needless to say the craziness that Mercury being retrograde inspires is aiding my apprehension.

Give me another week or two and I'll be back in the groove.
