Loosely translated, the French term jolie laide means "pretty ugly". In other words something that is so hideous that it becomes charming. That certainly applies to these Prada hi-steppers.A co-worker turned me on to these shoes and was thoroughly repulsed. I have been around the block enough to know that there is nothing so disturbing that it cannot become iconic. Get ready for these to be in every Baker's Shoes in 2012.
